Jocelyn Liu, a 11 year old junior player made her first hole-in-one at Brea Creek Golf Course in Brea, CA. on Saturday, October 22, 2011. Jocelyn made her “ace” on the ninth hole. The ninth measure’s 100 yards. According to Jocelyn, her father was more excited than she was as the threesome that included her sister Lulin, watched the ball disappear into the hole. Congratulation’s, Jocelyn!

Michelle Thompson from Tustin, CA., and a junior at Foothill High School in Tustin, fired a career best 74 (36-38) in the first round of the Century League Championship. Michelle, 74 left her tied for second place behind the leader, Amy Lee of Brea, CA. (69). The event is being contested on the Butterfield Course (El Prado), Chino, CA.
Michelle was a champion swimmer until last year when she made a decision to play golf competitively and work hard to get to the level’s she achieved as a swimmer. She chose to work with George Pinnell at the George Pinnell Golf Academy to re-build her swing and increase her knowledge of how to play golf at the elite level. It appear’s that Michelle is finding her way.

Breann Fox, 14, Chino, Ca. won the Ventura Junior Golf Association TaylorMade Tour Championship that was contested at Monarch Dunes Tolf Club, Nipomo, Ca. Breann rolled in a 30 foot putt on the first playoff hole to win the championship. The young player from Chino shot 83-76 (159).
Breann won her final two tournaments of the season to claim her Player of the Year award. Along with the victory, Breann will receive a coveted AJGA Exemption and will be exempt on the Southern California PGA Toyota Tour for 2012. The win and POY award has motivated Breann to play even better this winter and in 2012.
Bradley Fox (Breann’s brother) finished in ninth place after scoring 79-77 (156) Breann and Bradley are coached by George Pinnell at the George Pinnell Golf Academy in Rowland Height’s, Ca., east of Los Angeles.
